Lapiz Lazuli

This is an original artwork  hand painted in Acrylic knifework. The painting is impressionist and done with care and attention to detail. This represents my favourite colors -The shades of Blue. The artwork is titled Lapiz lazuli, Lapiz as a precoius stone has held deep meaning since ancient times. Its tonal blue qualites have always fascinated me. No wonder this is the original royal stone. I captured the shades of Lapiz lazuli as well traces of gold which good quality lapiz stones possess.
The painting is made on acid-free, fungus treated canvas board and using Artist grade, life-long non-fade Acrylic colors. The artwork is unframed  and is measuring 24" x 30".
